William Gerald Jacobson, Sr., 82, of Pensacola was born in Mobile, Alabama on March 24, 1938, died November 3, 2020.
He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War as a Warrant Officer, he was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the American Legion. He was also retired from the Railroad and Civil Service.
He is predeceased by his Parents, William Henry and Leona Murphy Jacobson; sisters, Barbara Hoffman and Joan Pennington; grandson; Rusty Booth; stepson; Michael Sanders; and son-in-law, Vic Thompson.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Geraldine Jacobson; children, William Jacobson, Jr., Robert Jacobson (Valerie) and Catherine Thompson; step-children, Christine Sanders and David Sanders; grandchildren; Robert Jacobson, Jr.(Crystal), Christopher Jacobson (Tiara), Susan Jacobson (Kevin), Stephen Thompson and Bradley Jacobson; step-grandchildren, Gerard Sanders and Joseph Sanders; and numerous great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Sue Evans (Wayne) and Joyce Cross and many nieces and nephews, as well as his life-long best friend, John Swann.
A visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, November 9, 2020 from 2pm until 4pm.
A memorial Military Honors service by the United States Marine Corps will be scheduled in the near future. Please continue to check this sight for the date and time.
