William Charles Davis, Jr • November 8, 2022
William C. Davis, Jr., known as Bill to his friends and family, passed away Tuesday,
November 8, 2022. He was born February 19, 1952, in Lake City, Florida. He was 70 years old.
Bill attended art school and worked at a print shop where he handmade signs. But like
his grandfather, Alva Boston, he was drawn to the ministry. Bill began preaching as a teenager
and went on to minister to churches from Florida to Montana. He preached the gospel for over
50 years, most recently at the Church of Christ at Milestone. Bill worked as a TSA Agent at
Pensacola Airport for 20 years. He retired in February to return to preaching full time. He loved
spending time with his family and grandchildren. He could often be found playing with his
youngest grandchildren or studying for his next sermon. He was a fan of all things Florida
Gators football and loved a good hamburger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith Boston and William C. Davis, Sr., and his
nephew, Darren Drake.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Debra; his children, Aaron, Coral (Ashley), Patsy
(Ray), and Ashley; his grandchildren, Hannah, Ethan, Emma, Evelyn, Cullen, Charlie B., and
Lauren; his sister, Patricia Davis; his nephew, Dustin, and his niece, Deanna, and their families.
A memorial service will be held at the Church of Christ at Milestone on Saturday,
November 12 at 11am.

He touched my life
He love the Lord’s Church. A sound preacher. And spoke to me many time’s. When i visited there. I will miss him and his influence he had on me.And mamy other’s. Prayers for the Davis FAMILY.
I was in Pensacola visiting family a few weeks ago and had the honor of hearing him preach the gospel. He will be missed by many including the congregation at Milestone as well as my family and myself.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Bill for less than one year but I regret not knowing him for many more years. Bill was a lover of God’s Holy Word and spent incredible amounts of time in his study in the Bible. His sermons verified just how much he loved the Word of God as scriptures filled his delivery. Bill will be missed like family to all that knew him. The church likewise will miss him as well.
Beautiful man of God. Absolute role model of an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed.
Such a wonderful man who loved our Lord and his family so much! He was a great preacher of God’s word and he will be greatly missed! Our prayers are with his beautiful family.
There are no words to express how much we will miss Bro. Bill. Such a kind and God living man who loved both his family and church family. A loss for us but a gain in heaven.
