Thelma Louise Sunday Rickert, age 89 of Pensacola, Florida passed away on December 15, 2021.

Thelma was born in Cantonment, Florida to Jesse Sunday and Annie Mae Alexander. She was born and raised in the Pensacola area. Thelma worked in civil service for many years at various military bases in the area.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Coleman A. Rickert; her parents, Jesse and Annie Mae Sunday; and her brothers, Jesse and Jack Sunday.

She is survived by her sister, Nelda King; sons, Larry W. Rickert and Leonard F. Rickert; daughters, Debra Lloyd (Curtis) and Cathy Evans; grandchildren, Tommy Lee (Rose), Crystal Baker (Tony), Jennifer Johnson (Chris), Marie Rose (Joe), Jesse Evans and Mallory Anderson; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be having a private service to honor the wishes of Thelma.

A special thank you to Thelma’s son, Leonard, for the many years he cared for her; her nurse, Jo from Covenant Care Hospice; her cousin, Angie Finney for visiting her and spending time with her so often; and her sister, Nelda King.

    I had the pleasure of knowing and loving Thelma, Russell’s cousin for the last 21 years and she will certainly be missed. She was such sweet lady. Praying for the Lord to give us peace and comfort..
