Terry Edward Rowland, Sr., age 74 from Pace, Florida died at Santa Rosa Medical Center on 07 September, 2021 from complications associated with COVID. He also suffered from dementia.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Jean Frances Koestner Rowland. He will be joining his beloved son, Terry Edward Roland, Jr. who preceded him in death. He leaves his daughter, Tonya Marie Rowland Hampton; son-in-law, Curtis Tony Ray Hampton; and seven grandchildren: Hannah Jean Virginia Hampton, Hallie Anne Elizabeth Hampton, Sophie Rose Lily Hampton, Brody Benjamin Shu-Qi Hampton, Noah Sergey Nicholas Hampton, Zoey Ming Olivia Hampton, and Koda Matthew Chen Hampton.
Terry Rowland was originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and was a graduate of Elder High School. He joined the Coast Guard after graduating and was stationed in Keokuk, Iowa on the Mississippi River where he met his wife. Terry trained as an engineer in the Coast Guard and transitioned to an auto technician. He worked for many different car dealerships and car types and retired from Sandy Sansing Nissan in 2016.
Terry Rowland was dedicated to the American Legion and DAV as a Disabled American Veteran and enjoyed talking about his time in the United States Coast Guard to anyone who would lend an ear.
