Sherrie Wilson Horne • May 16, 2020

Sherrie Wilson Horne died suddenly and unexpectedly on May 16, 2020 and her family and friends wish to mourn and celebrate her life.
Sherrie was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was known for being kind, friendly, cheerful, loving, outgoing and full of laughter. She loved God, her church and Bible study group and showed undying love and devotion to her daughter, Heather Nicole Horne.
Sherrie was born April 19, 1960 in Tallahassee, Florida to Dr. Richard C. Wilson, Sr. and Peggy Tucker Wilson and attended elementary school there and later became a lifelong resident of Pensacola, Florida attending Tate High School class of 1978. She worked as a salesperson at Vince Whibbs Pontiac before becoming a mother and housewife.
Sherrie loved her mother and brother very much, Peggy T. Wilson and Richard “Rick” Wilson, Jr. and adored her father, Richard C. Wilson, Sr. She was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Heather Nicole Horne.
Sherrie enjoyed tending to her potted plants, cooking and baking for friends and her Bible Study group and had a ribald, mischievous sense of humor often filled a room with laughter. One of her many joys was enjoying a dozen, plump fat juicy oysters on the half shell with some good strong horseradish at Peg Leg Pete’s at Pensacola Beach or at Desire in New Orleans. Sherrie loved her cats and feeding and watching the birds in her backyard.
Sherrie was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Sherrie is survived by her daughter, Heather Nicole Horne and her brother, Richard Carlton Wilson, Jr. “Rick”
