Ruby Cawley, age 81 of Pensacola, Florida passed away on December 15, 2021.

Ruby was born in Bayou LaBatre, Alabama to James A. Cox Sr. and Lucille Barnes and has lived in the Pensacola area for 50 years. She loved to read books, do word search puzzles, crossword puzzles, and jigsaw puzzles, and watch television. Another favorite thing she enjoyed was hosting her annual Christmas Eve party for her family and friends.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, John Cawley; daughter, Vickey Childress; grandson, Brandon Boyington; five brothers; and her parents.

She is survived by her son, Will Boyington (Valerie); her granddaughters, Naomi Boyington, Rachael Drinkard, Linsey Boyington, and Megan King (JJ); her grandsons, Casey Boyington, Aaron Boyington, and Cory Foley (Denise); her sister, Elaine Evans; her great-grandchildren, Addison, Autumn, Ruby, Branson, Colton, Forest, River, Tristan, Farrah Powell (Michael), Jamie King, Aleice Foley, and Adam Foley; and one great-great-granddaughter, Oaklyn Powell.

The family would like to thank De Luna Health and Rehabilitation Center, VITAS Hospice, and Granny’s Nannies.

A visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, December 20, 2021 beginning at 10:30AM until the funeral service begins at 11:30AM.
