Reverend Carl D. Shiver • September 4, 2020

Friday morning, September 4th 2020 at 11:36am, Carl D. Shiver; Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather…Man of God… went to his heavenly home and met the God he loved and served.
He is now seeing and experiencing all that he read and preached about. No more pain and suffering…he is completely healed…alive and well…in the presence of the Lord.
He loved his Family, God, and Country.
He joined the United States Army on November 18th 1958. He was discharged on February 26th 1962. His basic training was at Ft. Jackson, SC. He was stationed at Ft. Benning, Columbus, GA. and at Ft. Gordon, Augusta, GA. He then served 18 months in Manheim, Germany in the 552nd Combat Engineers. He returned to the United States to be discharged at Ft. Dix, NJ.
In 1990 he became Pastor of Calvary Way Full Gospel Church. He was ordained into the West Florida District of the Assemblies of God, May 5th 2014.
He served his congregation as full time Pastor until March 2020 at which time he became Pastor Emeritus.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Myrl Shiver; three sons, Michael Shiver (Marie), Christopher Shiver (Denyse) and Timothy Shiver (Tiffany); seven granddaughters, Jessica, Meagan, Carly, Madison, Alyson, Mackenzie and Hannah; two brothers, Freddy Shiver and Jack Shiver (Bonnie); and one sister, Mary Simmons.
We will miss him now and forever…But, we know we will meet him again…soon.
The family will receive friends at Calvary Way Full Gospel Church on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 10 AM till the service begins at 12 PM.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Shiver, Chris Shiver, Tim Shiver, Gregory Shiver, Craig Shiver and Ted Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Shiver, Kenny Shiver and Bob Walton.
According to Carl’s request, in lieu of flowers please make donations to Calvary Way Full Gospel Church.

  10. I am so blessed to have Carl as my cousin. He is the kind of Pastor that is always there for everyone , whether you go to his church or someone else. It is easy to tell just bymeeting him that GOD is the center of his soul. Praise GOD he is now healed and can jump and shout and sing all night if he wants too. We love Carl and hewill be very missed.
