Reginald Gordon Foss (Reggie), 82, passed away on October 7, 2019 due to complications from health issues.
After graduating high school, Reggie enlisted in the Air Force and served 7 years. He reenlisted in the Army and graduated from Airborne, Ranger, and Scuba schools. Reggie was in several Special Forces groups and a Green Beret. He served with the 5th Special Forces Group in Vietnam. After retiring from the Army he was an over the road truck driver and retired after working for several years through a contractor for the United States Postal Service.
Reggie loved to travel and spend time with his family. He was a member of the Special Forces Association, Chapter 44. Reggie was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather. He was incredibly generous and had an amazing sense of humor. Reggie was true hero to his country and to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Reggie is predeceased by his mother, Grace Dowling, his father, Earl Foss and his grandson, Casey Z. Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Frances L. Foss; sister, Nancy Gardner; children, Sandi Mathia (John), Cyndi Brown (Rodney), Dave Foss (Tracy), John Foss (Laurie), Allan Foss (Cathy), Joe Gassman (Donna), Mac Gassman (Lisa) and Melody Bonal. Reggie has several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be held on October 15, 2019 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Family viewing will be at 11:00 am. Family and friends viewing will start at 11:30 and the service will start at 12:30. Immediately after services we will go to Barrancas National Cemetery military honors and burial.

    This is a great loss for family and country. I will remember the good times like my first deer hunting trip and many days fishing. I will keep the family in my prayers.
