Phyllis Ann Hobbs Ogle, 66, of Pensacola, died February 13, 2022. She was born in Bardstown, KY and has lived in the Pensacola area for 59 years. Phyllis served as a door greeter at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church for many years. She was affectionately known as “The Mint Lady” as she felt that everyone who entered the church should have at least one. She was involved in a Small Life Group at Marcus Pointe and looked forward to their meetings where she could fellowship with her friends and family in Christ.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her youngest brother, Leslie Edward Skipper, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, William “Bill” Floyd Ogle, Jr.; parents, Elizabeth Ann Skipper (Hardin) and Gerald “Jerry” Franklin Skipper, Sr.; son, William “Willie” Floyd Ogle, III; daughters, Laura Kimberly Lee (Jason Grant Lee), Lisa Michelle Jones (Casey Lee Jones); grandchildren; Brennan Dean Ogle, Jason Alexander Ogle, Jacob Michael Lee, Jaden Rachael Lee, Cecil “Trey” Jones, Connor Lee Jones; great granddaughter, Paxton Coral Dunaway; brother, Gerald “Pete” Franklin Skipper, Jr.; nephew, Leslie “Eddie” Edward Skipper, Jr. (Olivia); sister-in-law, Maryann Laird (Tony); loving friends, David and Cecilia Sapp.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 10:30-11:30am Thursday, February 17, 2022 with the funeral service to follow at 11:30am.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank you” to Pastor Gordon Godfrey, Jr. of Marcus Point Baptist Church.

    The world will have a void without our sweet Phyllis. She had the kind of smile that involved her whole face including the sparkle in her eyes—genuine not pasted on. Our hearts will miss you Phyllis.
