On Monday, December 21, 2020, Patricia Jo Serley, loving wife, mother, grandmother passed away at the age of 67. Patti was born on September 8, 1953 in Plainfield, NJ to Harry and Ellen Pfluger. She received her business degree from Auburn Community College and worked for Otis Elevator Company for 37 years. On September 2, 1978 she married the love of her life, Mark Serley. They raised one son, James Stephen, and one daughter, Kathryn Jane.

Patti had a passion for her family and friends. She loved to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gifting and giving to others and was known as “being great for the economy.” She will always be remembered for her quick wit, her infectious smile and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Patti was preceded in death by her father, Harry, her mother, Ellen, her sister, Ellen, and her beloved fur baby, Jack. She is survived by her husband, Mark, her two children, James (Jenny) and Katie (Jon), her sister, Jane, her five grandchildren, Reese, Emma, Lucas, Eliza, and Easton, and seven nieces and one nephew.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, 7433 Pine Forest Road, Pensacola, FL 32526. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm with services starting at 2 pm. Those who cannot attend will be able to view virtually.     Patti will be dearly missed sitting around the campfire. Life sucks sometimes and this is one of those times. Patti was a real trooper with all she put with fighting this terrible cancer. How we can come up with a vaccine in less than a year for Covid, but cannot cure cancer is beyond me.

    As an old friend of you both I was not aware of Patti’s condition. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing. I can’t imagine what life will be like having lost someone as near and dear. I’m sure Patti put up a fight till the end and she probably told you and the family that life goes on and you need to live it.
