Patricia Ann “Patt” Martin • October 17, 2020
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce that Patricia Ann Martin (“Patt”), beloved wife and mother, went home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 17th, 2020.
Patt was born March 10, 1943 in Andalusia, AL to Merle Adams and Madison C. Eiland (who gave his life in World War II). Patt’s mother Merle married Roy C. Clark following the war and together they raised a strong and loving family with Patt and her brother Larry (Linda) Clark.
A lifelong resident of Pensacola, Patt married Robert H. Martin on November 18th, 1961 and would have been celebrating 59 years of marriage this year. Patt was devoted to and deeply in love with her husband and she delighted in spending time with her entire family. Their 8 Children include Robert “Chris” (Pamela) Martin, Timothy “Scott” (Tammy) Martin, Jeffrey “Todd” (Angela) Martin, Lisa Martin, Mikeal (Shelley) Martin, Rana Martin, Donna (Daniel) Johnson and Eric Martin. They have also been blessed with 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. As a faithful and joyful servant to the Lord and community, Patt and Robert opened their home to many over the years including over 100 foster children. Patt also enriched many lives as a member of Bellview Baptist Church and teacher at their daycare center.
Patt’s legacy will be everlasting. She was a beautiful, loving, compassionate, generous, selfless, gracious and Godly woman who was an example and inspiration to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate that she is at peace with her creator.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 24th at 10am at Pensacola Memorial Gardens with services to follow at 11am.
