Ovella DeVine Dibble • August 12, 2022

Ovella DeVine Dibble, 86, of Pensacola passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022.
Mrs. Dibble was born in Richton, MS and resided in the Pensacola area for the past 66 years. She attended Crown Church and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. Mrs. Dibble was an exceptional, devoted and loving mother and grandmother. While she worked hard on the farm and raised her children side by side with her husband, she enjoyed bowling in leagues and tournaments. She loved working in her yard, growing flowers, cooking and doing for others. She was a devoted Christian and served the Lord in church and in gospel music. She formed a gospel group called The Visionaires. They traveled throughout the South sharing God’s Word in both song and music for many years. Even in her last weeks and days, when her health was declining rapidly, she would raise her hands in praise and in singing to her Lord. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends. Her family will always cherish the memories created with her.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Ira and Bettie Dunnam; sisters, Mary Jane Newell and Bertha Walley; brother, Wyatt Dunnam; daughter, Joyce Ann DeVine; first husband and father of her children, H. C. DeVine; husband, Vern Dibble. Survivors include her children, Gene DeVine (Darlene), Jane DeVine Duck (Jim), Barbara DeVine Allred (Randy), Johnny DeVine (Theresa), Brenda Coleman (Homer) and Jill DeVine; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 9am till the service begins at 10am.
The family would like to express their heart-felt ‘Thank You’ to Life Care Center of Pensacola and Covenant Care Hospice.

    Such a beautiful and soft spoken lady, loved her dearly. My husband played bass in her band for a few years, now he’s gone, maybe they have formed a band with another musician that played with them, Curtis Hall, who has gone on also. They are playing for her beautiful voice in Heaven.
