Montez Ferguson, 86, formerly of Cantonment, Florida went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 18, 2020. She was born in Castleberry, Alabama on June 12, 1934 to Joe and Birdie McCrory, but had lived most of her adult life in Cantonment, Florida.

Her grandchildren always requested her cornbread dressing, chicken and dumplin’s, green beans and banana pudding at the many holiday family gatherings at her home. She even joined in the volley ball games with her family at those get-togethers until her health no longer allowed her to.

  1. Lynda Barnes says:

I send my deepest sympathy. I was in the same bowling league as Montez called the DeLuna Dolls. Montez always had a smile. She has been missed these past couple years that she has not been able to bowl, and she will continue to be missed as she would stop in on occasion to say hey to us all. I’m sorry for your loss. I pray the Lord gives you comfort.

  2. Linda Martin Holloway says:

Gene, Wanda, Diane, Steven and James….my sympathy for your loss. Aunt Montez came into our family with four kids in tow. She always had a smile, but could give you a look that let you know she meant business. She was kind and would listen, but her greatest gift was her love for Uncle Maloye and his love for her. She was truly a blessing. She loved and was loved by her family and friends….what a great life she lived.
Now she is with Maloye looking down at us…probably laughing and being proud of their kids. Only regret, we could not have lived closer and been able to visit more…love you all, Linda
