Mary (Jean) Imojean Cade Boatner went home to be with Jesus on February 18, 2022. She was born in Batesville, Mississippi on May 30, 1937 to her parents Joe William Cade, Sr. and Effie Mae Joblin Cade. She moved to the Pensacola area in 1958 and was employed for 34 years with Solutia until her retirement in 1992. She was a loving and devoted sister and caregiver to her brother and sister for many years. Jean is known for her sweet and gentle nature, her love of cats, desserts and candy of all kinds and flowers. However, her greatest loves were her children, grandchildren and Jesus Christ. Jean is preceded in death by her parents; sister Peggy Hartzog; sister Jeanette Brashier; brother Joe “JoJo” Cade; best friend Mattie Driver. She is survived by her three children; Jack (Cindy) Boatner, David Boatner and Tracy Boatner Zorn and four grandchildren; Morgan Boatner, Jeremy Boatner, Kyle Boyd and Kade Boyd. The Boatner family would like to extend our gratitude to Covenant Care Hospice at West Florida Hospital for their attentiveness and loving care. We would especially like to thank Nick for his guidance, patience and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens; 7433 Pine Forest Road; Pensacola, FL 32526. Visitation is from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 am followed by a reception, which is to be announced.

    Aunt Jean was the best Aunt anyone could ask for. I was always so happy to see her. She always made me laugh, she had the sweetest smile and disposition. On my birthday she made a video to wish me happy birthday and to tell me she loved me I will treasure it and her always❤️Until we meet again❤️Families are Forever❤️

    Mama Jean was a kind lady that would listen to you and be the friend you need in any situation .I never heard her say a mean thing to anyone even though she may disagree with you . She was a wonderful Christian to be around and when my children were little , they loved her presence as everyone else did to . I will see her again when we are singing and praising Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the eternal life . Love you mama Jean , not good by but we will see you again real soon .
