Mary “Faye” Alvarez, age 86, passed away on March 5, 2021. She is survived by her sons, Harrell (Donna) and Joey (Teresa); five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph V. Alvarez; son, Darrell V. Alvarez; and second husband, Jerry Hemmye.
She was a member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church and served for many years with Al-anon as a speaker. She also enjoyed fellowship with her crochet group.
Services will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00pm with service to follow at 2:00PM. Pastor Wes Alvarez will officiate. The service will be available via live webcast for those who cannot attend.     devout Christian. She was an active member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She served as president for two years as president United Methodist Women. She was an faithful member of the Caring and Sharing Sunday School Class and the Hope Bible Study Group. She will greatly missed.

    Faye was a faithful member of my class at Azalea Trace on Saturday’s. She was a good contributor and we all enjoyed her participation. We will miss her.
