Marie Rosalie “Rose” Dreadin passed away peacefully on September 12, 2019 after a 9-year battle with dementia. She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts to Arthur and Vivian Bourgeois on February 9, 1937. She loved spending time with her growing family, married for over 60 years to Jaye Dreadin.

Through her years she was a homemaker, babysitter, friend to many, she enjoyed ceramics and we enjoyed her precious gifts from her hobby.
Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her growing family.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Arthur and Vivian Bourgeois; husband Otha “Jaye” Dreadin; sisters Rita Molligi; Theresa (Fred) Larson; brothers Edgar Bourgeois; Edmond (Loretta) Bourgeois; Albert Bourgeois; Ernest (Rita) Bourgeois; Gerry Bourgeois.
Marie is survived by sister in laws Ivy Bourgeois and Doris Dreadin; brother in laws William “Bill” Dreadin; Howard “Snookie” Thompson. Children Donna Johnson(Terry), Thomas Dreadin; Artie Dreadin(Robin), Step Son Richard Dreadin; 5 grandchildren , John Johnson(Jessica), Kevin Johnson(Courtney), Gage Dreadin, Sara Dreadin, Shelby Dreadin, 1 Step Granddaughter Jessica Dreadin; 3 great grandchildren Addelyn Johnson, Kaizleigh Guidry, Koby Johnson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special family friend best friend Debbie Clakley Lavallee whom she loved like a daughter.

The family would like to thank Emerald Coast Hospice for the past several years of support and guidance. A special thank you to her nurse AdamWillis for taking such wonderful care of our Mom and the numerous nursing aids.

Donations may be made to our local Alzheimer’s Association in our Mothers memory.

A time of visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, September 17th from 6pm to 8pm. The celebration of Marie’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 18th at Pensacola Memorial Gardens at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
