Lloyd Clinton “Peter” Moon, 100, of Cantonment passed away on March 3, 2023. He was born in Marion, Indiana on February 13, 1923 and his family moved to Pensacola when he was a young boy. He graduated from Tate High School in 1941. He served in United States Navy and eventually pursued a civil service career at NAS Pensacola until he retired in 1978. He loved the Lord and his country. Mr. Moon enjoyed hunting and fishing but cherished his time with his loving wife, Hazel, of 61 years, who he married in 1946 and his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel; son, Lloyd, Jr.; parents, Glen and Johanna Moon; siblings and many cherished friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Moon, Deborah Moon (Thomas Cornelius) and Denise Tucker (Michael); 4 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Wednesday, March 8th from 1-2pm with funeral service to follow at 2pm with Pastor James Carter from Milestone Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Tucker, Joshua Tucker, Jason Tucker, Thomas Cornelius, Rusty Madison, and Chris Tolbert.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his honor to his beloved Milestone Baptist Church, 3800 Pine Forest Road, Cantonment, FL 32533.
