LCDR William “Bill” Pudsey • January 7, 2021

LCDR William “Bill” Pudsey was born on July 4, 1936 in Boston, MA. He passed away on January 7, 2021. He was a long time resident of Pensacola. He served in the U.S. Navy for 32 years. He was a Korean and Vietnam veteran. He served aboard the Essex and Enterprise. He spent 3 years exploring the South and North Poles. He was the CO of the Photo School at NAS Pensacola. He (and his wife Lillian) had 3 children (Skip, Luan and Chris) and 1 grandson (Shane), along with 3 great grandchildren (Ella, Piper and Graeson). He raised 7 doberman pinschers (Blue, Aries, Redd, Toby, Duke, Reagan, and Sheeba). He was a Classic car enthusiast and a member of Panhandle Cruisers and Bad Boyz. He was often seen cruising around in his 1966 Buick Electra convertible. A visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 12pm until the procession begins at 1pm to Barrancas National Cemetery for a graveside service at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.

    Stationed with him a couple of times, he was a great leader and very good example for all to follow. His sense of humor made trying times easier we have lost a good sailor.
