On Saturday October 24, 2020 our loving husband, father, and Pawpaw, Larry Moore, went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Larry was born on January 18, 1952 in Lebanon, Missouri to the late Dale and Ruth Moore .Larry served our country on the USS Lexington from 1969-1973. He went on to retire from the Escambia County Road Department in 2002 after 30 years. Larry enjoyed being with his church family, camping, fishing, and most of all he loved watching his granddaughter drive her racecar around the track each weekend, he was her biggest fan.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Linda. He is survived by the love of his life Debbie, they were married for 47 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Tammy Douglas (Jason), granddaughter Maddy Douglas, sisters Bonnie Wheeler, Sharon Lowe, Debbie Hawkins (Brent), as well as a host of relatives and friends who loved him very much.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 27 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at 10:00 with services to follow at 11:00. Pastor Keith Mott will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be his “adopted” boys from church: Andrew Mott, Aaron Mott, Jacob Mott, Tyler Capers, David Moorehouse, Caden Moorehouse. Honorary Pallbearer will be Nathan Smeltzer.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his honor to Northview Baptist Church located at 14 Stumpfield Road Pensacola Florida 32503.
