Kayla Hope Springer • April 6, 2023

Kayla Hope Springer was born to Paul and Beverly Springer on August 3rd, 1990 in Nashville, TN and died on April 6, 2023 at UAB in Birmingham, AL due to liver failure and other health issues at age 32. She graduated from Pace (FL) High School in 2008, and Harding University (Searcy, AR) with a BA in Art in 2013. She worked for various companies in customer service, sales, and HR in the Pensacola, FL area, and had recently started back to help out at Formweld Fittings, where she had previously worked. She suffered from several conditions over the years such as depression, weight, gastric bypass, alcohol, heart, clots, two broken legs, and several recent hospital stays, and due to the onset of neuropathy in 2021, was about to complete her education in a new field of medical coding.

Kayla was baptized into Christ in April 2002 by her father, and was active in youth groups, mission trips, church camps, and later with the college, young adults, home-builders, and various bible studies. She was a member of the Scenic Hills church of Christ in Pensacola for the past 19 years. She was a kind and caring person, always helping others. She enjoyed reading a lot, painting, teaching others to paint, playing games, and being with friends of all ages. She told several that she was “her daddy’s biggest fan.” As an organ donor, she was able to help many others by giving them her corneas, eyes, bone marrow, skin grafts, heart valves, and soft tissues.

Kayla was preceded in death by her grandparents Eugene & Doris Springer, and Jill Nauman. She is survived by her parents Paul and Beverly Springer, and her sister Ashley (Taylor) Naumann, and her grandfather Frank Nauman; many aunts and uncles, Deborah (Danny) Smith, Martha (James) Todd, Sarah (Lynn) Canaday, Frank (Lori) Nauman, Mike (Gina) Nauman, Todd (Gina) Nauman, Wendy (Fred) Meiske, Traci Crawford, and Ray (Jessica) Nauman, and many cousins, friends, and her fur baby Winston.

Her father told her, “I am saddened when I think of what might have been; but, I am glad when I think of the blessing that was, and for what is yet to come!” Until we meet again…

Kayla will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life service will be held at the Scenic Hills church of Christ, 1295 E Nine Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32514 on Saturday April 22. Visitation begins at 1:00 and service at 3:00 with Bro. Kyle Rye officiating. It will be live-streamed at https://www.facebook.com/scenichillschurch . She will later be inurned at Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 7433 Pine Forest Road, Pensacola, FL 32526. You may express your condolences online at www.PMGFuneralHome.com .

In lieu of flowers, donations can also be made to the Scenic Hills Youth Group, your area’s Christian Bible Camp, or a local school’s art program.
