John W. Ellis, Sr. • August 19, 2021



 

John W. Ellis, Sr., 83 of Pensacola, Florida, born on January 28, 1938 to Robert and Helen Ellis in San Diego, Ca. passed away on August 19, 2021.

John Ellis, after 30+ years, retired as co-owner with Lenny B. Daniels from Daniels Ellis Electrical Supply and was still actively working with Daniels Ellis Properties and Ellis Trap and Cage for the past 20+ years.

He graduated from Pensacola High School and served in the Navy Reserves for eight (8) years.  He was an ingenious entrepreneur, owned several patents and mentored many. He will be missed by all.

He was a founding partner and member of the Pensacola Moose Lodge, and an active member of The American Legion post 340, which he loved dearly.

John is proceeded in death by his parents Robert and Helen Ellis; his siblings, Robert (Bobby) Ellis, (Barbara) and Lynn Krisciunas (John aka “Kris”), his daughter, Sheri Sarasua, and his son, John Ellis, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Pat Ellis; children, Sean Ellis and Karen Ivey; grandchildren, Danielle Sarasua, Michelle Sarasua, Brianna Adams, Megan Kock, Trey Ellis, Jesse Ellis; and numerous great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Dan Call, Finis Calvert, Jr., Mike Daniels, Jeff Ellis, Mack Lewis, and Nachi Sarasua with Honorary Pallbearers, Finis Calvert, Sr., and Harold Grosskoff.

Visitation is Wednesday, August 25 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens at 9:30 am with services beginning at 10:30 am with graveside immediately following.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Legion Post 340.
