James “Jim” Allen Carrico, 68 of Pensacola, Florida passed away on December 30, 2020.
He pursued a career in the Armed Forces joining the Army in 1970. Throughout his career he was stationed in Vietnam, Germany, Korea and of course several of the United States. In 1992, he retired from the Army and began his service with Colorado Department of Corrections until 1996 when he transferred to Texas Department of Corrections until his retirement in 2010. Jim met the love of his life, Sue Carrico in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1977 going on to marry her in 1979. They were married for 41 years. Jim had a huge heart which was apparent to anyone close to him. He was very generous with his family and friends. He will be missed by many neighbors both in Pensacola and in Lawton, OK along with friends and family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Sue Carrico in Pensacola, Florida; son, Samuel Carrico (wife-Toni Carrico) of Fountain, Colorado; granddaughter; Sara Giannetto (husband-Frank) and their children-Anthony and Frankie Lynn; granddaughter, Catie Carrico and her children- Travis and Mason; grandson, Kevin Carrico (wife-Krysta Carrico) and their children-Sammy, Peyton, Harry, Fiona, Priscilla, and Lydia; daughter Mickkie Carrico Botts (husband- Randy Botts) and their daughter-Amanda Botts. Jim was very close to his sister-in-law, Penny Fouts who stayed with them for several months of the year as well as her daughter, Dawn Dietz (husband-Rick Dietz) along with Brooke Dietz who spent the last days providing companionship along with helping with home repairs. He also is survived by many other family and friends.

    James was my brother , he had family in mass. carol carrico roberts, diane slocum, frances rosanna , nancy badore and paul carrico, we are sorry we did not get to see him .
