James Jerry Rogers, 87 of Pensacola died on August 16, 2021. He was born May 30, 1934 to William August Rogers and Vicy Lenora Rogers. James was a lifelong resident of Pensacola, Florida. He retired from the Pensacola News Journal after working 45 or more years there.
James is survived by three daughters, Lenora Rimph of Pace, FL, Iris Rogers of Pensacola, FL, Mary Hepler of Alabama; and son, James Dwayne Rogers of Pace, FL.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 1-2pm Thursday, August 26th with the funeral service to follow at 2:00pm.

    Jerry trained me on the equipment at the PNJ. I was his final trainee, before he retired. Jerry was quite the character, once you got to know him. We had many laughs during the years we worked together. Jerry was a good man and a dependable friend. I will remember him with a smile.
