James Aubrey Winslow, Sr. passed away June 27, 2020 in Pensacola, Florida.

He was born on March 17, 1942 in Pensacola, Florida to the late John Henry Winslow and Jewel Hamm Winslow. He was in the construction industry and of the Baptist Faith. James loved to race cars and fish in his leisure time.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy Ann Monroe Winslow; two daughters, Melinda and husband, Dion Robb and Sherry and husband Don Vallia and a son, Aubrey Winslow, Jr. and wife Laura as well as 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 10am.

The family would like to thank Marty and all the staff of Covenant Care Hospice and ask that anyone that chooses to do so to please make contributions in honor of Mr. Winslow to make them to Covenant Care Hospice 5041 North 12th Ave. Pensacola, Fl. 32504.

    I have always known Mr. Winslow to be a happy and gentle soul. The picture in this obituary brings back so many fold memories of him. I loved this man and the wonderful family he raised. He will truly be missed by those of us that had the honor and privilege of knowing him.

    Winslow was such a great man. I worked with him at the plant for many years. My prayers and condolences are with Peggy, children and family. Rest In Peace Winslow.

    When I went to work at Daniel’s construction, I became James helper, it was a new thing to have women in the field, but he took me under his wing, treated me like a lady, and taught me the trade. I love and respect him for what he taught me and how he treated me. Peggy, your husband was a true friend and a gentleman, praying for you and your family. When I think about James or Winslow as we called him, it brings a smile to my face. Rest in peace James.
