James Andrew McGaha • February 15, 2022



James Andrew McGaha, age 42, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in Dalton, Georgia. He was branch manager of Kendall Electric. He graduated from Fayetteville High School and earned an electronics degree from Central Alabama Community College.

James was a big kid at heart that enjoyed having fun with family and friends. He always enjoyed joking around and cutting up to keep everyone entertained and laughing. He enjoyed grilling and sharing meals and drinks with others around a camp fire or while watching an Alabama football game.

He was preceded in death by his father, John M. McGaha, Sr.; grandparents, Eldred and Mary Ann McGaha, Joe R. Brown, and Tomi Tellas; uncles, David McGaha and Joe Palace Brown; and cousins, Timothy and Lamar Eddins.

James is survived by his mother and step father, Brenda and R. Stephen Howard of Pensacola, FL; two brothers, John (Chrissy) McGaha, Jr. of Walnut Hill, FL and Joseph McGaha of Pell City, AL, step sister, Elise (Marcus) Heygster; two uncles, Randy (Kathy) McGaha, Ronnie (Tonuia) McGaha; two aunts, Cordean (Earl) Eddins, and Pat (Dennis) Garber; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 26 February 2022 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 9:30 – 10:30am with short service to follow.

Pallbearers will be John McGaha, Joseph McGaha, Dennis Garber, Daniel Eddins, Roque Chaparro, Victor Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be R. Stephen Howard, J. Michael McGaha, Daniel McGaha, Joshua Eddins, Thomas Hoelzer.
