He was born January 20, 1939 to Mildred and Gerald Jennings in Prairie City, Illinois. He joined the Navy on February 29, 1956, only a month or so after his 17th birthday. He served in the United States Navy for 28 years working with helicopter maintenance and naval air crewman. He was stationed at Midway Island, California, Texas, Virginia and his twilight duty was HC-16 at NAS Pensacola. He was immensely proud of his service, telling stories of his adventures in the Navy to friends and family. After retiring from the Navy, he went to work with Boeing Vertol as an H-46 helicopter technical support rep. and relocated to Guam for several years. While living in Guam, he and June had many travel adventures to Bali, Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong, and Saipan. After his Boeing retirement, he came back home to Pensacola, FL.

He was a good friend to all who knew him, always sharing his knowledge with friends and neighbors, and looking out for them when they were in need.
Harry (Bud) will be remembered by his family and many friends for his kindness, service, good humor, and dedication to his family. He was PaPa Bud to his grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom he adored and pampered.
