Grace Rummel • July 5, 2022



Grace Rummel, 94, of Foley, AL passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
Mrs. Rummel was born in Atmore, Al and resided in Pensacola for 60 years before moving to Alabama. She was a bookkeeper by trade and a member of the Community Church of Christ. Miss Grace was part of the Jesters, Society of Red Hats and the Aphrodited.
Preceding Mrs. Rummel are her parents, John and Georgia Harris; husband Bernard Rummel brothers, Bill and Arthur Harris; son-in-law, Gary Lacey; and grandson, Justin Rummel. Survivors include two sons, Charles Rummel (Cheryl) and Stevens Rummel (Marsha): and daughter, Pam Lacey; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A procession will be leaving Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 9am.
The family request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Grace’s name be made at St. Jude Children’s Hospital at St Jude.org.

    I am sorry to hear this news, I have such fond memories with Mrs. Grace & Mr. Bernie Rummel from times at my parents beach house in Perdido Key and all the Krewe of Lafitte & Krewe of Aphrodite balls. Mrs. Grace was always there whenever someone needed her, she helped me plan my parents 30th wedding anniversary she was truly amazing and we will miss her. Pam if you need anything please let me know, I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

    Gracie and Bernie were good friends. We go way back, Gracie always had a smile and Bernie was a true gentleman. Very fond memories is Gulfport, Mississippi as well. They were fun to be with. I miss them both. I pray that yawl find peace knowing they are together again.

    We were good friends with Grace and Bernie, sharing so many wonderful times together: Krewe of Lafitte and Aphrodite activities, golf trips, cruises, just hanging out. Our lives were enriched and blessed to have their love and friendship. May their precious children and family feel the peace and comfort that faith, family and friends can provide.. our love and prayers are with you all.
