Gloria (Long) Ogilvie, age 85, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the Legacy of St. Joseph’s in Kenosha.

Gloria Ogilvie was born on September 28th, 1936 to the late Alfred and Viola Long in Pensacola, FL. Gloria was a single mom and raised three great children. Although she faced various obstacles throughout her life, Gloria persevered and came out strong. She devoted 35 years of service taking care of Veterans at the Downey VA Hospital in North Chicago, IL. She loved to drive and often drove from Waukegan, IL to Pensacola, FL. She took various trips throughout her life to places such as California, Washington D.C. and Niagara Falls.

Gloria loved to bake and was known for her cheesecake and oatmeal cake. She liked to bowl and watch Matlock, Wheel of Fortune and programs on the Hallmark Channel. She enjoyed talking and visiting with her children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and other family members.

She will be missed by her children, Melissa Fay (Steve) Hall and Thomas E. Ogilvie; daughters-in-law, Jennifer Ogilvie and Bonnie Ogilvie; her grandchildren, Bethany Ogilvie, Chelsea Ogilvie, Abigail (Jesus) Morales, Benjamin (Jessica) Hall, Brandon Coulman; her great-grandchildren, Lilly Elijah, Lara Hall, Jaxon “T-bone” Coulman, Stevie “Sweet Pea” Coulman; her brother, Windell Long; her sisters-in-law, Tina Long, Maryann Long.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dale Dean Ogilvie and her brother, Robert Long.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral from 1:30-2:00pm with a service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Hospice Alliance www.hospicealliance.org would be appreciated.
