Glenn Norris, 91 of Cantonment, Florida passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
He was born on July 10, 1929 in Pensacola, Florida to Jesse and Rosa Norris. Glenn served his country in the US Army. He and his wife Cecile Norris were founding members of Ensley First Baptist Church. He owned and operated Norris Barber Shop and retired from Bob Salter Chevrolet.
Glenn is preceded in death by his wife, Cecile Norris; parents, Jesse and Rosa Norris; brothers, Oliver, Dewey, John, Edward, Albert, Elbert Arthur “AJ”, Garland “Buddy” and sister, Gladys Kimbro.
He is survived by his daughters, Becky Parnell (Ron) and Ann Jones (Don); son, Allen Norris (Bertha); granddaughters, Kristy Strother (Tom) and Mary Ann Rivera (Rob); grandsons, David Parnell (Courtney), Corey Jones (Shonda), Brian Jones (Emily), Kevin Jones (Amber), Michael Norris (Staci), Dustin Norris (Delanie); 23 great-grandchildren and one sister, Gloria Tatum.
The family would like to thank Glenn’s special friends and neighbors, West Florida Hospital and Covenant Care for their care and compassion during this time.
A graveside service will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens in the Last Supper gardens on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 2pm. Please wear a mask if you attend.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations may be made to Ensley First Baptist Church for “Takin It To The Streets” Ministry (50 West Johnson Avenue, Pensacola, Florida 32534)

    Allen, Ann and Becky, I have great memories of all of you and your parents from when I was growing up. I spent a lot of nights with Allen and Mr. Norris was always fun and funny. He was a great Sunday School Teacher for the boys. Your parents were good friends with my parents.

    I am praying for all of you. You had wonderful parents.
