Hattie Ellen Johansen Penton, 85, of Pensacola passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on June 23, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Minnie Johansen, and her two special angels Crystal Oppelt (granddaughter) and Sharon Marcelonis (daughter).
She is survived by the love of her life Don Penton, her daughter Julie Oppelt (Steve), her sons Don Penton (Teresa), and Ernie Penton (Nikki). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, one sister Emily Horn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She had many passions in life. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #9. She was also a lifetime member of Christ Episcopal Church.
Visitation will be June 25, 6pm-8pm, with services June 26th at 11am. Both will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, 7433 Pine Forest Rd. Pensacola.
In lieu of flowers she requested donations be made in Crystal’s name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, www.cff.org.
