Earl “Doug” Vance • January 6, 2022

Earl “Doug” Vance, age 98 of Milton, Florida, passed away on January 6, 2022. He was born in Union, Mississippi to David H. Vance and Tammy Wolverton.

Doug served in World War II, retired from the United States Navy after 30 years, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners.

Doug was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia A. Vance.

He is survived by his children, Peter G. Vance, Peggy A. Milstid (Larry), Terry V. Etheredge (Charlie), and Nancy K. Hanna (Rodney); 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, January 14, 2022 beginning at 11:30AM until service begins at 12:30PM.

    We were greatly honored to know Mr. Vance who was a true American hero and a Southern gentleman. He had a long and interesting life and his passing is a great loss. Our condolences to the family.
