Dr. Edward Herbert Tutton • January 16, 2021
Edward Herbert Tutton was born on October 24, 1942, in Buffalo, New York to Warren and Dorthea Tutton. He went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2021, at the age of 78. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carolyn, who was his college sweetheart. He is lovingly remembered by daughter Kathy (Kirk) Meester, and son Jon (Linda) Tutton; sons-in-law Josh Whitehead and Danny Mendez; and eight grandchildren, JT, Hayden, RaeAnne, Madison, Kaileen, Jaimee, Kara, and Landon; and his siblings Pam Fairchild and John Tutton.
Edward received Christ as his Savior at the age of 14 and was soon called to preach. After graduating from Bob Jones University, Ed and Carolyn gave their lives to serving the Lord through Christian education, missions, and pastoring. Ed started and administered several Christian schools from Texas and Florida to China and Ghana. Because of his work on the mission field, Ed saw the need for discipleship materials for Bible institutes around the world. He was a major contributor to a four-year curriculum that is used free of charge by many missionaries.
Although he had a far reaching ministry, his greatest accomplishment was passing on a Christian heritage to his children and grandchildren.
