Dorothy L. Dominguez, age 96 of Cantonment, FL went home to Jesus after her battle with lung cancer on Dec. 11, 2019. Dorothy was born in Auburn, Indiana on Sept. 9, 1923. Mom was Grandma to all her family and friends. We will be celebrating her life.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Rufus Dominguez; children, Jim Newport (Sharon), Jeanne Liechty Bacon (Tom), Jeff Newport (Sylvia), Linda Dominguez, Ft. Wayne, IN, Yolanda Soto (Jose Sr) Ft. Wayne, IN, Elaine Nunez (Reyes- deceased), Rebecca Mosqueda (Gilbert), Ft. Wayne, IN, Rufus Jr. Dominquez, Ft. Wayne, IN, Deborah Dominguez, Euless, TX, Gregory Dominguez (Shonda-deceased); grandchildren, Jamie Harbin (Anthony), Dawn Fletcher (Rick), Jesse Liechty (Shea), Crystal Newport, Jeremy Baltzell, Adan Dominguez, Jose Soto, Jr., Angelica Soto, Sofia Nunez, Daniel Nunez, Annalicia Nunez, Adrian Mosqueda (Connie), Coleena Henderson, Joseph Gonzalez, Justin Dominguez, Nathan Dominguez, Julian Deweese (Casey), Taja Deweese, Sabrina Castillo, Scotty Dominguez, Kamran Boshart, Reanna Boshart, Danielle Boshart; great grandchildren, Jeanna Harbin, Jessa Harbin, Ayleana Harbin, Abbagail Harbin, Brittany Steele, Sidney Schaff, Savannah Schaff, Chris Fletcher, Dillon Liechty, Bryce Liechty, Chloe Liechty, Corbin Liechty, Brooke Jackson (Hunter), Jay Baltzell, Fisher Baltzell and additional 31 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; brother, Norman Weible (Joyce), Ft. Wayne, IN; best friend, Helen McArthur and many extended family and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by Imogene June Allen; Robert Burns, Miah Liechty and Dewaye Henderson.
The family wants to thank all the wonderful caregivers who took care of our mom. She loved them all so much and they loved her like their own mom.
The family would like to thank Covenant Care Hospice for taking such good care of our mom.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 12:30-1:30pm. Service will begin at 1:30pm with Pastor Nate Wheeler officiating.

    Dawn’s Grandma had a spicy beautiful spirit about her . She was special . I am 6’1” tall and had red hair Grandma gave me the nickname Big Red 😊 lol She will be missed here on earth but ,with all that cared for her always .

    Grandma Dorothy was a woman of love. She reminded everyone how much she loved them each opportunity she had. She also took every opportunity to share her love for the lord with everyone she came across. She was a woman with a smile always on her face and she always looked her best. She will be missed by so many ❤️

    My mother, Dorothy (Dot) joined Jesus in the heavens for the final journey of life. She was thoughtful, caring and always wanting to help others anyway she could. She is already sorely missed and will not be forgotten in my thoughts. One day we will be together again in heaven sharing memories of our past life. Rest In Peace mom, love Son Jeff

    She was such a sweet lady always had a smile
