Donald Leon Meadows Sr., age 88 of Cantonment, Florida, left this world to be with the Lord Thursday, September 8, 2022.
He was born to Prince and Annie Meadows on December 7, 1933, in Jay, Florida. Don served in the United States Navy for many years. He later became a crane operator and worked for Tex Edwards before becoming medically retired. He was an active member of Smyrna Baptist church. Don also loved working with his hands making many projects, loved to go camping and being the perfect band dad and father.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Prince and Annie Meadows; siblings, John Meadows, Carole Middlebrook and Richard Meadows; son Randall Worth; and son Donald Meadows Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Anna Meadows; daughters Debra Meadows Buchanan, Diane Meadows Gelpi, (husband Ken) Tara Meadows Smith (husband Russell); son Martin Worth; along with 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He will be forever cherished and greatly missed. Until we meet again.
A visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 10-11:00 am with services to follow. The family would like to thank the doctors at West Florida Hospital and those at Fresenius Kidney Center for their support and care.
