Dewey Godwin • February 27, 2021

Dewey E. Godwin 73 of Pensacola, FL was called home by his Lord and Savior on February 27, 2021 at 2:17 am. He was surrounded by his family the last days of his life. He is survived by his wife Brenda (Tensy) of nearly 52 years and his son Jeff Godwin and his daughter Lisa Godwin Julian (Chris), three grandkids Kathy Godwin (Patrick), Ashley Weekley (Skyler) and Chase Godwin, great granchildren Conner and Bailee Weekley and one sister Dorthey Carter. Deep appreciation to Brad Kocian who was viewed as an extended family member to him in the last few years. There are too many additional family members to name.
Dewey was larger than life and made an impact on everyone he met. The one word that describes him best is Love. He loved his wife, his kids, his family and friends. He found joy in helping others with their business ventures, He wanted everyone to succeed. There was no way to be around him and not feel love and joy. This beautiful man will be missed by many for a long time come. His impact on the people around him is far reaching and unmeasurable!
Visitation for Mr. Godwin will be 6-8PM on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Smyrna Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, March 5 at Smyrna Baptist Church at 2PM. Burial will follow the service at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
