Weather permitting, burial will be held at 3:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making donations to “The Corporal J.R. Spears Memorial Scholarship Fund” at Pensacola State College.

Chris is survived by his wife Samantha and their two sons, Caleb and Cooper; his parents Scott & Helen Thomas and Vivian Renee Simmons of Auburn Alabama; his sisters Stephanie Forester (Rikki Robinson), Heather Basan, and Sally (Josh) Mixon; his nieces and nephews Ian (Brittany, Kaylynn, Amelia)Forester, Bailey Underwood, Taylor Mixon, Aubree Bettencourt, and Brooklyn Mixon; extended family members and many friends he considered family. Chris is preceded in death by his Grandparents Wiley & Mary Helen Thomas and Keith & Patricia Ann Simmons.

Chris came into this world with a smirk on his face on January 3, 1984 and never lost that grin. He spent most of his time making others smile. To know Chris was to know laughter. Many people could always count on him to put a smile on their faces. He loved all things sports; watching his sons play, coaching Caleb and Cooper and also “his other boys”, playing for the Tate Aggies, and of course cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and his Alabama Crimson Tide. Some of his most treasured times were spent with family and friends watching sports, racing, and cheering others on together.

We know Chris will always be looking down and cheering for us, and of course yelling “Roll Tide” from heaven.
