Carol Ann Dengel, 79, of Seminole, AL, passed away on September 6, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Carol was born in Newark, New Jersey, but grew up in Union and Springfield. Carol was an LPN, and later in life went back to school to become a Registered Nurse. After moving with her family to Colorado, and Georgia, she eventually settled in Noblesville, Indiana. After many years of working in hospitals for Alzheimer’s patients, and touching the lives of so many, she served her community as a visiting nurse and volunteered for the Red Cross. Carol retired, and moved to Seminole, Alabama with her husband, Tom, to be closer to family.
Carol loved spending her time with family, especially her grand-children and great- grandchild. Carol loved watching movies, both old and new, baking, playing cards, and shopping with grandchildren. She made each grandchild feel special. Carol was a strong christian whose faith was of the utmost importance to her. She loved Jesus, and to share His word with anyone that crossed her path. Carol shared an individual bond with all of her loved ones. She was so loved, and will be extremely missed.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, John (Jack) and Gertrude (Gert) Ashfield, her sister, Diane Prichard, and Thomas Dengel, her loving and devoted husband of 53 years.
Carol is survived by her 5 adoring children. Her son Todd, and his wife Julide of Hyattsville, Maryland, son Bradley, of Whitestown, Indiana, daughter Tara, and husband David, of Pensacola, Florida, daughter Paige and husband Anthony, of Pensacola, Florida, and son Jed (J.T.) of Pensacola, Florida. She also had 10 beautiful grandchildren. Haley (25), Peyton (22), Hannah (18), Samantha (15), Bella (16), Jayden (12), Layla (3), Jackson (13), Ellie (9), and Kaya (15), and her only great grandchild, Bowen (11 months) that lit up her world.
Carol is also survived by her sister Dawn Imbimbo and husband Richard (Richie) of Hillsboro, New Jersey, and brother in law, David Prichard of Manchester, Pennsylvania, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
A small service will be held at 11am on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 7433 Pine Forest Road, Pensacola, Florida 32526.
