Betty Lorraine (Smith) Stringer • November 8, 2019

Betty Stringer, 83 of Pensacola passed away on November 8, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of Pensacola. Betty was the 1st Police Woman of Pensacola, a small business owner and a retired realtor. She also retired from Red Cross Disaster Services and affiliated with Windy Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ashley Gordon and Regina Smith; and sister, Lillian Josephine Wiseman.
Betty is survived by her sister, Carolyn Clark; daughters, Valrie Gene Johnson (Mike), Regina Norene Montgomery (Frank), Glenda Peacock, Clemencia Francene Olsen; grandchildren, Feleshia Ard, Jason Ard (Shannon), Angie Fechter (Rick), Eric Montgomery, Travis Peacock (Sarah), Lauren Bartz (Matt), Brandy Olsen, Kelly Carter (Lamon); great-grandchildren; Jasmine Vargas, Nathan Norris, Alyssa Fechter, Garrett Norris, Jordan Ard, Madison Silas, Alexis Roberts, Logan Ard, Kaleb Roberts, Zoey Fechter, Gage Peacock, Noah Montgomery, Cale Peacock, Gavin Bartz, Callie Fechter, Austin Peacock; great-great grandchild, Vivian Vargas; nephews, Rick Townley (Nancy), Jeff Townley (Beth), Cameron Jernigan (Jennifer) as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 1pm until the service begins at 2PM.
Pallbearers will be Travis Peacock, Eric Montgomery, Jason Ard, Matt Bartz, Cameron Jernigan and Rick Fechter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nathan Norris, Garett Norris, Logan Ard, Kaleb Roberts, Gage Peacock, Noah Montgomery, and Cale Peacock.

    Betty was the sweetest person and friend you could have. We had so much fun together, and we laughed so hard at times. She is in a better place, but will be missed by family and friends. I love her and I’m sure she will be looking down over all of her family cause that is how she is. We will all miss her and will keep the family in our prayers.
