On Saturday, April 10, 2021, Betty Delores Parker, loving mom and granny, passed away at the age of 82. Betty was born on July 17, 1938, to Mary Emma and Norman Albert Dudley. She graduated from Tate High School in 1956. Over the years, Betty worked for several stores including Sam’s Style Shop, Zayre Department Store, and Wal-mart.

Betty was known as Mom, Granny, Aunt Bett, and Miss Betty. She loved her daughters, and their life was her life. When she had grandchildren, her life was centered on them and all of their activities.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, Norman Albert Dudley; mother, Mary Emma Dudley; husband, William “Bill” Parker; stepdaughter, Shirley Hardy; and brother Gene Dudley. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie McAdams and her family, Mark and Cale McAdams and Amanda and Ryan Peacock; her daughter, Cheryl Johnecheck and her family, Joe, Bryant and Carly Johnecheck; her stepchildren and their families, Billy Parker, Ricky Parker and Terry Parker; and her brother, Charles Dudley. She is also survived by a very special niece, Shannon Cooper and her family, Cody and Daniel Cooper.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, 7433 Pine Forest Road. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM followed by a service at 1:00 PM.

    Betty brought me so much Joy. I will never forget all the shopping trips we made and the unbelievable amount of coffee we drank while solving the world’s problems. I can still hear her laughter. She was truly loved and will truly be missed. Without hesitation I believe she was one of the kindest people to ever cross my path. Heaven just gained another angel.
