Barbara Ann Bodley • June 3, 2021



Barbara Ann Bodley, age 83 of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on June 3, 2021 at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Visitation for Mrs. Bodley will be 11AM – 1PM on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by her Celebration of Life service at 1PM with Pastor Ferry Nye and Pastor Christopher Bodley officiating. She will be entombed at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Barbara was born February 4, 1938 in Camden, Alabama to Lewis Hardley and Eula D Samuel. She was a retired Educator, teaching school in Chicago Public School system for 36 years and was a member of Jehovah Lutheran Church.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Eula Hardley; her sister, Molly Johnson; and her brother, Clarence Hardley.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Arthur Lee Bodley; her sons, Christopher Bodley (Shikina) and Derek Bodley (Monique); her grandsons, Caleb Bodley, Kairos Bodley, Khanan Bodley, Simeon Bodley, and Samuel Bodley; her sisters, Victoria McAdoo and Bettye Moss; and her brother, Lewis Hardley, Jr. (Jeanette) and Sister in Law Jennette Hardley.

The family would like to thank Janice Andress, Dorothy Dickerson, and Doris McCormick (mom’s beautician) and David Ludwig, Musician.
