Alton Dudley Clark • July 22, 2019

Alton Dudley Clark, 75, passed away peacefully to be with his heavenly Father and Creator on July 22, 2019.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his devoted wife and true love, Barbara Clark; daughter, Michelle Teagardin (Troy); sons, Wesley Clark, David Clark and Kevin Clark; grandchildren, Evan Teagardin and Lacey Rose Clark; brothers, Jimmy and Joseph Clark; step-children, David and Misty Stough. He is preceded in death by his step-daughter, Sarah Stafford.

Dudley was born January 5, 1944 to Leoma Nell and David B. Clark and was a native of Pensacola, Florida. He was an Army Veteran who served in Germany. Among many talents, he was an artist at heart who loved music and was a local drummer, often performing with his brothers throughout the years. As a child it was his love for a bicycle and later motorcycles which lead him to becoming a self- taught and brilliant small engine mechanic. Dudley was a gentle soul who enjoyed the simple things in life. His joys were being with family and sharing good times with friends, his morning cup of coffee on the front porch with his love and his little dog, Oreo.

The family wishes to express their eternal gratitude to Dudley’s sisters in Christ, Gale Whitehead and Peggy Hahs whom were his dearest friends, for their love and never ending support.
And lastly, Chrisie Hardee, whose gentle presence and devotion in the final days was truly a gift.

Dudley will be greatly missed by his wife and children and all who loved him.

The story of life is quicker than the wink of an eye. The story of love is hello and goodbye…until we meet again.

A visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 9:30am until the service begins at 10:30am with burial to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Goodbye 2 a truly great man, he made you feel like you were setting on the front porch with your Grandpa. Never really getting too excited while sipping that cup of coffee and offered some very good advice. I will miss this man like a favorite pair of boots or a fishing hole You never tell anyone about. It seemed like no matter how bad he felt, he always had a smile for you and it’s that I will miss most. Goodbye mr. Dudley, goodbye
