James Menville Trosclair, Sr. • November 2, 2022



Captain, James Menville Trosclair, Sr., 78, passed away on the evening of Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 8:52pm. James was a native of Dulac, LA and a long time resident of Pensacola, FL.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 4:00pm until 9:00pm and continue Monday, November 7, 2022 from 9:00am until service time. Ministry Services will follow visitation on Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home at 11:00am. Graveside services will take place at Pensacola Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, November 8th at 2:00pm.

Captain James Menville Trosclair Sr. is survived by his loving companion, Shirley Jones; his sons, Joseph Mitchell Trosclair, Dennis Matthew Trosclair Sr. (Michelle); daughters, Michelle H. Trosclair, Kimberly A. Trosclair Smith (Charles “Chuck”); grandchildren, James Trosclair III, Mitchell Trosclair, Trent Picou, Joby Verret, Nicholas LaCroix, Desmond Trosclair, Misti Carrere, Dennis Trosclair Jr., John Trosclair Sr., Jacoby Trosclair, Justice Trosclair, Johi’Ra Trosclair, Jose Trosclair, Sierra Smith, Cameron Smith; and great grandchildren, John Trosclair Jr., Justina Trosclair, Arlon Dion, Noah Dion, Journey Carrere; step-son, David Mott, step-daughter, Regina and TabithaMott; and many loving extended family.

Captain Trosclair Sr., is preceded in passing by his parents, Dennis and Hilda Francis Trosclair; brother, Daniel Trosclair Sr., Junius Joseph Trosclair, Paul Manuel Trosclair Sr.; son, James M. Trosclair Jr.; nephew, Paul Manuel Trosclair Jr., grandson, Chance David Trosclair.

    James Menville Sr, my second Dad!! On 11/2/22 @ 8:52 p.m a part of Me, a BIG part left with you. Leaving Me so incomplete a BIG empty space! You were the epitome of what a great man should is , A worker / provider/ fighter / a lover of family & friends , caring , funny, courageous ….,.and on and on everything but a great driver .. I MISS you so so much already ! Florida is big & beautiful but when I think of Florida I could think of YOU. I LOVE YOU BIG BIG BIG , Hugs and kisses Vonda ( Little Girl )
