Donna E. (Tompkins) Prevatte, 61, of Pensacola, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010.
Donna was retired from the City of Pensacola after 13 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir, The A Cappella Choir, and the Sertoma Club.
She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Correll; father, Wayne Tompkins; and step-mother, Erlene Tompkins.
Survivors include her son, Todd Prevatte and his fiancee Jenifer; her mother Millie and stepfather Abe Fennell; sister and caretaker, Susan (Jay) Hadder; sister, Sandy (Larry) Archuleta; grandchildren, Jasmyn and Koda; stepson Greg (Lisa) Prevatte; her loving pet dog Lillie; numerous nieces and nephews; stepsisters, Laverne, Michelle, and Terri; and stepbrothers, Patrick and Randy.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Pensacola, Pleitz Chapel, 500 N. Palafox St.. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the church. Burial will follow in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Greg Prevatte, Jay Hadder, Herbert B. William Jr, Doug Prevatte, Dr. David Perrett, and Jeff Prevatte.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to childhood friend and caretaker Debi Milam, Dr Tan and the Hope Group, Nix Daniels, Covenant Hospice at West Florida Hospital, all close friends and family that supported her, First Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir and Bob Morrison, Choir director.
In lieu of flowers for those who wish, donations may be made to the American Breast Cancer Society.
