Dorothy C. Snipes, age 83, of Pensacola passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 after a tough fight against Parkinson's disease.
Mrs. Snipes was born October 3, 1926 in McBee, South Carolina. She spent most of her life in Fort Myers, Florida working in the banking industry. She was a member of the Fort Myers Chapter 31 Order of the Eastern Star and Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Coral, FL.
She relocated to Homestead Village Assisted Living Facility in Pensacola, FL to be near her son and continue her battle against Parkinson's disease.
She is survived by her son, Jackson Snipes (Judy) of Pensacola; two granddaughters, Deanna Pecina (Tom) and Carissa Snipes; two grandsons, Christopher Snipes and Darren Snipes; and three great grandsons, Quentin Snipes, Brody Pecina and Luke Pecina.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Homestead Village Community Center.
