George W. Hill, Sr., 81, formerly of Bagdad, Florida, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010 in Excel, Alabama.
He was born on Tuesday, February 21, 1928 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Chester Hill and Elizabeth Rose Hill.
Survivors include his three children, Beverly Alderman and her husband James, of Excel, Alabama, Gary Steven of Stewart Town, New Hampshire and George W. Hill, Jr., of Milton, Florida; one brother, Reuben Hill of Racing, Ohio; one sister, Mary Roach of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family received friends at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 1:30 p.m. with his son-in-law, James Alderman officiating.
Interment was in the Garden of Hope, Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
