Russ Deason, 70, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2010.
Russ was a Master Cutting Horse Trainer, as well as being a four time World Champion. The Cutting Horse World will be at a loss without him. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cullen Deason.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Janice Deason; children, Redetha Deason, Rusty (Tabitha) Deason, and Josh Deason; grandchildren, Courtney and Brianna; mother Versie Deason; and brother, Paul Deason.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home is in charge.

Dear Jan, I know this months after OUR RUSSELL S passing and hope I not upsetting you.
but you and yours have been on my heart so much. I Loved my favorit cousin so much, all I loved but Russell was so special to good to me.. I never forget his sneeky boyish smile and my nick name TOOTS I written a Poem about him Not to many people know I been writting for years.... I ll share it with your in private...
I would like to have some Picture of him Just Pictures and some of his Action shots..
I will do the same for you.. Aunt Versie fell about 2 months ago and crack her back and laid there for 10 days undianosed She was in terible pain Still in pain over lots of STUFF... Please except this as caring and not interferring
