Otis Dewitt Kimmons, Sr, 75 of Pensacola, Florida was born on July 27, 1943 in Pensacola, Florida. Otis lived and worked in the area for 75 years, he was a retired chemical technician with Air Products for 35 years. He loved being with his family, traveling, repairing small engines, photography and hunting. He also enjoyed a big bowl of ice cream every night. He was a beloved Bishop of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Edward Kimmons, Sr.; mother, Ressie Norine Hopkins Kimmons; son, Baby Kimmons and brothers, D.E. Kimmons, Reginald Kimmons; grandson, Wesley Frazier.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Frances Kimmons; sons, Otis Kimmons, Jr. (Christy), Keith Kimmons (Renee), Mark Brown (Gail), Jamie Brown (Laura), Daniel Snowden; daughters, Sheri Kimmons Frazier (Jimmy), Natalie Hartman (Tyrel), Tess Brown (Kasha) and Brandy Emmons (Chad); brothers, Maxwell Kimmons (Reba), Dannie Kimmons (Iris) and many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. A visitation will be held at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints (9490 Foxrun Rd. Pensacola, Florida 32514) on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 3pm until 4pm for family and 4pm for friends until the service begins at 5pm. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity or to the American Cancer Society.

The world is now a better place because he lived. May God comfort the family left here until they meet him again in a shining hall.

    Otis was the most loving man I have ever known. He was such a huge part of my youth and will always have a special place in my heart. He never greeted me without a kiss on my cheek. He was the best Bishop.. I’m so thankful he was a part of my life and I will miss him dearly.
